SBD-5 Dauntless Specs
The SBD-5 Dauntless was the culmination of the most succesful dive bombers of the US Navy to enter service. The Daunless series had been used in almost all of the major battles in the Pacific. These included the famed battles the Coral Sea and Midway.the Series went through a set of continual upgrades including more powerful engines, armor, increased fuel capicity, and even an autopilot.
The Dauntless proved itself in many battles and was responsible for sinking many Japanese capital ships. It was a tough aircraft produced in large numbers and through its service the fierce Pacific engagements were tipped to the Allied side.
