F-15 Specs

The F-15 is one of the best fighters around today, yet it was introduced in 1972. This Cold War warrior was made to counter the news of a new Russian Mig, the Mig 25. Fortunately the end result was much better than that particular Mig ever turned out to be. The F-15 was a true revolution in fighter design for the western world. It was faster, more aerodynamic, and better in almost every way than the F-4 it replaced.

The F-15 was the first US fighter to use advanced electronics such as fly by wire, and a pulse Doppler radar. It also has a very high thrust to weight ratio, which makes it very fast and maneuverable with a tight turning radius. This aircraft also has a HUD, Ultra High frequency communications, and many other advanced features. It is also unique in its multi-mission capability.
